The Verein für Konsumenteninformation (VKI) recently evaluated 13 primary school bags based on durability, visibility, and practical suitability. While seven models earned a 'good' rating, none achieved 'very good,' and no product fell below 'average.' Practical testing involved children aged six to eight carrying loads of two and four kilograms to assess comfort, ventilation, and strap handling. Technical assessments covered waterproofness and storage usability, noting that heavy items should be placed close to the back. While a quality bag typically costs 300 euros, the Oxybag model was named the price-performance winner despite average waterproofness and visibility. The Lego Ninjago model received the lowest visibility score and an overall 'average' rating. Cheaper models priced at 100 and 190 euros also received positive feedback during the evaluation.
