Ruck, who serves as the President of the Vienna Economic Chamber and head of the Vienna OVP Wirtschaftsbund, faces allegations regarding his influence on candidate lists and making unfavorable comments about women and party colleagues. While reports indicate resignations within the Wirtschaftsbund and plans for Ruck to withdraw from public view for several weeks, he has not resigned his positions. Wallner declined to explicitly call for a resignation, though SPO women's chairperson Eva-Maria Holzleitner criticized the reported exclusive men's circles. Despite the controversy, Vienna Mayor Michael Ludwig has expressed support for Ruck, while federal OVP leadership under Christian Stocker and Martha Schultz remains involved.
